Haik Kocharian: Test Screening of His Film “Please Be Normal”
Spend an exciting and informative evening with Haik Kocharian, writer, photographer, and director. He will discuss his artwork and show a test screening of his latest film, "Please Be Normal."
Haik Kocharian was born in Armenia and has lived in New York City since 1993. He began his studies at the Armenian Theater Company and continued his education studying film directing and photography at Brooklyn College. He has earned several awards for his photography, including being a finalist in the Smithsonian Magazine Annual Photo Competition.
Haik Kocharian has written and directed six short films including "Charlie," which won the Thirteen/WNET Reel 13 Shorts competition in 2007 and was broadcast on Channel 13. In 2007, he wrote and co-produced his first feature, "Manhattan Romance," a French-American production starring Isild Le Besco and Jean Mark Barr. His new feature film as a writer/director/producer, “Please Be Normal,” starring Sam Waterston, Elisabeth Waterston, Louis Cancelmi, and Dana Eskelson, will be released this year.
At 7 p.m. we will meet in the East Academic Building, Brooks M. O'Brien Auditorium for a test screening of his film "Please Be Normal," followed by a brief discussion where Mr. Kocharian will answer questions.
