Empty Bowls Dinner
Join us for a simple meal in a hand-crafted bowl of your choice, to benefit the Brattleboro Area Drop In Center. Seatings at 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Dozens of hand-crafted bowls fill the center atrium of the Landmark College Library as a prelude to the annual Empty Bowls Dinner fundraising event to benefit the Brattleboro Area Drop In Center, which provides food, shelter, and other basic services to Brattleboro and surrounding areas, including Putney.
This year, ceramic artists contributing bowls to the dinner include Landmark College faculty and staff, guided by Associate Professor Christie Herbert.
The 2013 Empty Bowls Dinner will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2013 with two seatings at 5 and 6:30 p.m. in Landmark College's dining hall. For a $25 donation, guests enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread, cheese, apples, beverage, and dessert, against a background of live music. Guests select the handmade bowl from which they eat, and take it home with them as a reminder of the many people who go hungry each day.
