All students for Fall and Spring semesters will be assigned a mailbox (if you're a short-term program student, we'll hold your mail for you in Student Affairs and send you an email to pick it up).
Student Mailboxes are located in the Student Center, 1st floor (next to the Bookstore). All letter mail will be delivered daily (Monday - Friday) to your mailbox at around 11 a.m.
Tip: Make a habit of checking your mailbox at least once a week, because on-campus offices will also use it to deliver important information to you.
Keys & Combinations
- If you're a new student, you'll be assigned to a mailbox when you arrive on campus.
- If you're a returning student, you'll keep the same mailbox.
- If you're assigned a key mailbox, keep your key in a safe place because the charge for a replacement is $25.
- If you're assigned a combo mailbox and you don't know your combo, just contact Student Affairs (phone, email or in person) and we'll gladly help you out.
Tip: Having trouble with your combo?
We're always glad to go downstairs and show you how to open your combo if you're not sure - just stop by our office on the second floor of the Student Center and request a free lesson! We have a very small number of key mailboxes, so we can only switch you from a combo to a key as a last resort (and only if there's a key mailbox available).
Mailing Address - Letter Mail

PO Box 820

If you're a new student who hasn't arrived yet, you can omit the mailbox number - we'll look it up later and make sure your mail gets to your box.
If you're just not sure what your mailbox number is, contact Student Affairs.
Mailing Address - Packages
All packages will be held in the Business Office Mailroom (Administration Building, 1st floor) and you will get an email if a package has arrived for you.

Tip: Shipping before you arrive?
We will hold boxes for you in our secure package room until you're on campus to pick them up. The mail room is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Keep in mind that if you're arriving over the weekend or on a holiday you won't have access right away (so pack any essentials in your luggage!)
Sending Out Mail & Packages
For letters: Mail gets picked up once a day from the mail drop slot, next to the student mailboxes in the Student Center. Please remember to stamp your letter before putting it in the slot!
For packages: you can drop off a package at the Business Office Mailroom ONLY if postage is already affixed to the package (you can purchase and print mailing labels online at many websites such as USPS, Fedex, etc). If you prefer to buy postage in person for your package you can do this at the U.S. Post Office in Putney or Brattleboro (need a ride? Check out the Shark Shuttle Schedule for Wednesday Early Run info)
Stamps are available at the Bookstore (Student Center, 1st floor) or at the U.S. Post Office on Main Street in Putney (a short walk from campus).
