Choosing a Career
Career exploration is a process of examining your preferences, including your skills and talents, your values and your interests. It also involves gathering information about various careers and discovering which one is the best match for you.
Self Assessment and Investigation
The staff of the Landmark College Transfer & Career Services Office is happy to work with students regarding career and major exploration. Students can take a career inventory based on their interests and values, which can help narrow down majors and careers that might be of interest. We have several resources in the Transfer & Career Services Office that are helpful in exploring possible majors and future careers.
We use the O*Net Career Interest Inventory and the O*Net Career Values Inventory tools from O*Net, a primary source of occupational information and career exploration tools. Both are simple to complete. Students can review the results with a Transfer & Career Services staff member in-person by making an appointment.
