Bio: Dr. Cindy Tolman received her B.A. in Chemistry from Middlebury College and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from M.I.T. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, she decided the highly competitive world of protein biochemistry research was not for her. She began looking for teaching positions. Along the way, she picked up a degree in theology, with an interest in the conversation between science and religion. Several adjunct and leave-replacement positions later, Landmark was looking for a chemistry teacher and Cindy was free to take on full-time employment. At Landmark, she enjoys the collegiality of the faculty and the chance to discuss teaching methods with people from many backgrounds, who teach many different subjects.
