Bio: Humberto Ramirez is interested in issues of difference as conceptualized in contemporary cultural theory. Humberto's work is presently concerned with social issues and the power of language in shaping our values and perceptions. Humberto is a multimedia artist working in painting, video and curatorial projects. His work is shown online, as well as at traditional venues such as art galleries, museums and film/video festivals. Humberto's work has been shown throughout the United States, as well as in Latin America and Europe. He has lectured on topics including postmodern theory, cultural criticism, psychoanalytical theory and globalization, among others.
