Notebook Program

Landmark College students are required to have a laptop (notebook) computer.

We offer students two notebook computer options for the fall semester. Our Notebook Program is designed to meet students' academic needs. We strongly encourage students to purchase your computer through the Notebook Program. Advantages to purchasing through Landmark include:

  • Steep discounts
  • Full technical support through Landmark's Help Desk on campus
  • Hardware repairs by certified technicians and insurance claim processing
  • A loaner computer if your computer needs to be repaired
  • Landmark will order and set up the computer and install the software for you

Landmark's Notebook Program packages include software required for all students (Inspiration, Microsoft Office and a text reader) as well as insurance protection against loss or theft and an extended warranty to cover accidental damage.

Why do students need a notebook computer?

If you are enrolling in the fall or spring semester, you'll need a computer to access online student and course information, the internet and to communicate and collaborate with faculty and other students. If you are attending any of the summer programs, you may bring a computer with you but are not required to do so.

Are students required to purchase a computer through Landmark's Notebook Program?

Although we strongly encourage you to purchase a computer through the Notebook Program, you may bring a notebook computer with you as long as it meets our minimum specifications

The cost of the computer and software will be charged to your tuition account.

Landmark College tech staff is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and caring. I wish I could take them with me to my next college.”

- Leon Rice, PTK

“I received my computer with everything I needed already installed on it. The Tech Support Staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. I would have regretted bringing my own computer on campus!”

- Sara Wolfson, PTK '05

"Landmark College, Tech Support Services Department has on SITE knowledge to assist students with technical difficulties with their laptop computers when purchased through the LMC Notebook Program! If you choose not to buy from the LMC program you have to use your own resources outside of Landmark to have troubleshooting and repairs done."
