Fall 2009 Notebook Order Form

Order by August 20th to receive your notebook at the Computer Orientation on August 31st

Notebook Program

Landmark College offers two notebook computer options for the Fall semester to students through its Notebook Program that is designed to meet students' academic needs. You are strongly encouraged to purchase your computer through the Notebook Program in order to take advantage of steep discounts and to receive full technical support through the Help Desk (including a loaner computer if your computer needs to be repaired).

Landmark's Notebook Program includes the required software bundle (Texthelp Read Write Gold, Inspiration, and Microsoft Office) as well as insurance protection against loss or theft and an extended warranty to cover accidental damage.

Why do I need a notebook computer?

If you are enrolling in the fall or spring semester, you'll need a computer to access on-line student and course information, the Internet, and to communicate and collaborate with faculty and other students. If you are attending any of the summer programs, you may bring a computer with you but are not required to do so.

Am I required to purchase a computer through Landmark's Notebook Program?

Although we strongly encourage you to purchase a computer through the Notebook Program, you may bring a notebook computer with you as long as it meets our minimum specifications

Purchasing a computer through Landmark’s Notebook Program provides the following benefits:

  • Landmark offers steep discounts on computers that are designed to meet your academic needs
  • Landmark will order and setup the computer and install all software for you
  • Your computer will be fully supported on campus - including hardware repairs by certified technicians, software installations, and insurance claim processing
  • If your computer needs to be repaired, a loaner computer will be provided to you

How do I purchase a computer through the Notebook Program?

Simply complete the Notebook Package order form. After submitting the form, we will:

  1. Confirm your order with you via e-mail within five days
  2. Order the computer and install all software
  3. Provide you with the computer at IT orientation after you arrive on campus

The cost of the computer and software will be charged to your tuition account.

What are the minimum requirements if I bring a computer with me and do not purchase a computer through the Notebook Program?

If you bring a computer with you, it must meet our minimum specifications.

If you will be using a Mac laptop on campus please read Landmark's Student Apple Computer Policy

You will also need to purchase the Landmark College software bundle (Read Write Gold, Inspiration, and Microsoft Office) all of which are available at the Bookstore.
