The IT department at Landmark College is committed to providing and supporting a robust and reliable technology infrastructure to support student learning and academic and administrative functions.
Wireless
Landmark has near ubiquitous wireless coverage on campus including in all classrooms and labs, residence halls, Library, auditoriums, café, dining hall, and other public spaces.
Network
Landmark's network infrastructure enables secured 24/7 access to all of the on-line resources, including the Internet, Intranet portal, file and print services, digital texts, e-mail, course management system, Library and other database services and resources, available to students, faculty, and staff. Web-based resources are available from both on and off campus.
Students have wired and wireless network access in their residence hall rooms and elsewhere on campus as well as individual file storage space and free use of network printers. Landmark provides high-speed dedicated Internet bandwidth that is managed by traffic-shaping software to promote academic use and limit (not prevent) heavy utilization of non-academic, resource-intensive programs.
Classrooms and Computer Labs
All classrooms at Landmark have wireless network access and video projection systems at a minimum. Some classrooms have more advanced technology including sound systems, document cameras, DVD systems, interactive tablet displays, and more.
Students have access to computers in many public spaces and labs on campus including the residence hall computer lab, Library and computer lab, Center for Academic Support, multi-media lab, and Language Learning lab. Various software is available on these computers including assistive technology, productivity, and multi-media software.
Intranet Portal
The Intranet portal provides students with access to on-line information about courses, support services, events and activities as well as resources such as student academic tracking, course management, and on-line payment systems.
